Objective 11: Describe the seven slide design guidelines.
1.
Use only one or two fonts per slide

Use simple graphics and pictures ( they should
support your presentation not take it over).
Objective 12:
Describe five rules for using overhead transparencies.
1.
Turn the projector off when you are not using
it- This prevents a blank screen from blinding your audience
2.
Move your next overhead onto the projector at
the same time as you remove the previous one- This avoid a blank screen while
the projector is on.
3.
Turn the projector off when not speaking about your
slide- If you are not using the slide you don’t want the audience distracted by
it.
4.
Leave each slide up for at least 30 seconds-
This gives your audiencetime to read and understand what is on the screen.
5.
Before putting on the projector – As you move
from one slide to another, you should make a lead-in or introductory.
